PALADIN INDUSTRIES, INC.

Introduction

Aeronautical Engineer Matthew Dautle designed the two-seat Golden Eagle for ParaPlane International Corp., in September of 1996, as the world's first TiltBar™ steerable (weight shift) powered parachute.  Distribution on this model continued until ParaPlane closed its doors permanently in January 1998.  Retaining the design rights to the plane and joined by fellow ParaPlane employee Cindy Rancourt, Dautle incorporated Paladin Industries, Inc., in July 1998 to continue production of the Golden Eagle as well as to maintain a business platform for future design in the field.

Sales went well and in September of 1999 a new plane was introduced to the public.  The Hercules is the world's most powerful powered parachute.  Continuing to incorporate the unique TiltBar™ steering, the Hercules uses a 110 horsepower engine and large 560 square foot parachute to provide lift to over 1,000 pounds gross weight.  In April 2000 the light, single-seat Sparrow was added to the product line, returning to the simple, economical designs so popular from the origins of the sport of powered parachuting.

Paladin Industries offers the highest level of continued innovation in the field.  The full time presence of one of the only aeronautical engineers in the industry and production line help of a certified A&P mechanic, gives the company an educational and experiences base upon which to constantly build. Unceasing research allows the Company to continually refine the current product line.  The frequent release of new models give the Company a competitive edge in a market of uniformity.  A growing dealer network often allows customers the convenience of  sales and service in their own community, and customer service is a number one priority.  More people every day become aware of the affordability, safety and uncomplicated training/learning curve through national and local advertising, and air show appearances.  They also come to appreciate why Paladin Industries, Inc.,  continues to be the  technological leader in the field of powered parachutes.
